La presente Informativa sulla Privacy descrive come GymTracker (di seguito "l'App"), sviluppata da GymTracker, raccoglie, utilizza, conserva e protegge i dati personali degli utenti in conformità al Regolamento (UE) 2016/679 (GDPR), al D.Lgs. 196/2003 e successive modifiche, nonché alle linee guida Apple App Store sulla privacy delle applicazioni.
Titolare del Trattamento
Il Titolare del trattamento dei dati personali è Paolo Novetti (GymTracker, app com.innotek.gymtracker, App Store ID 6759553013). Per richieste su privacy e diritti GDPR: info@gymtracker.studio.
Dati Raccolti
GymTracker raccoglie esclusivamente i dati necessari al corretto funzionamento dell'applicazione e all'erogazione dei servizi richiesti dall'utente. In particolare:
2.1 Dati forniti direttamente dall'utente
- Nome e indirizzo email (forniti al momento della registrazione o dell'accesso con Google/Apple)
- Dati personali inseriti nell'onboarding: età, genere, peso corporeo, altezza, obiettivi di fitness
- Dati di allenamento: programmi, schede, serie, ripetizioni, carichi, tempi di recupero
- Misurazioni del peso corporeo registrate nel tempo
- Foto del profilo (opzionale)
2.2 Dati raccolti automaticamente
- Identificativo univoco del dispositivo (per la gestione della sessione e degli acquisti in-app)
- Versione del sistema operativo e del dispositivo (per ottimizzare la compatibilità)
- Log degli errori tecnici (in forma anonima, per il miglioramento della stabilità)
- Statistiche d'uso della web app (pagine e funzioni usate), solo con il tuo consenso e non collegate al tuo account (sezione 2.6); le app per iPhone e Android non le raccolgono
2.3 Dati sanitari (Apple Salute e Health Connect)
Con il tuo consenso, dato nella schermata di sistema, GymTracker legge da Apple Salute (iPhone) o da Health Connect (Android): frequenza cardiaca, a riposo e variabilità, VO2 max, pressione sanguigna, saturazione dell'ossigeno, frequenza respiratoria, passi, distanza, calorie attive, metabolismo basale, energia alimentare, peso, altezza, grasso corporeo e massa magra; su iPhone anche data di nascita, sesso biologico, indice di massa corporea, circonferenza vita e frequenza media camminando. Scrive gli allenamenti completati con le calorie attive, e il peso e l'altezza che inserisci.
I valori letti restano sul dispositivo, con due eccezioni: la frequenza cardiaca media e massima e le calorie stimate di ogni allenamento entrano nello storico del tuo account (se hai GymTracker PRO o un coach collegato), e peso e altezza (su iPhone anche l'età, calcolata dalla data di nascita, e il sesso) entrano nel profilo se accetti di precompilarlo. Il coach non riceve la frequenza cardiaca, le zone di intensità e le calorie dei tuoi allenamenti. Vede invece i dati del profilo (età, sesso, peso e altezza, anche se precompilati da Apple Salute o Health Connect) finché gli lasci il permesso «Info personali», che puoi togliere nelle impostazioni del tuo coach; l'età la vede anche quando gli chiedi di collegarvi, prima che accetti. Non usiamo i dati di Salute per la pubblicità e non li vendiamo. Puoi revocare l'accesso in qualsiasi momento dalle Impostazioni di iOS o da Health Connect.
2.4 Importazione programmi con intelligenza artificiale (Google Gemini)
Se utilizzi la funzione di importazione IA, i file o testi che carichi (PDF, immagini, Excel, testo) vengono trasmessi ai nostri server Firebase e analizzati tramite Google Gemini esclusivamente per estrarre la struttura del programma di allenamento. Usiamo l'API di Google Gemini come servizio a pagamento: Google tratta questi contenuti per nostro conto, come responsabile del trattamento, e non li usa per migliorare i propri prodotti né per addestrare i propri modelli. I file temporanei vengono eliminati al termine dell'elaborazione. L'utilizzo è soggetto a limiti mensili in base al piano (Free/Pro).
2.5 Modalità Coach e condivisione con il tuo coach
Se colleghi un coach, condividi con lui/lei solo i dati che autorizzi (programmi, allenamenti, peso, messaggi). Puoi revocare il collegamento in qualsiasi momento dalle impostazioni Coach. Il coach agisce come responsabile autonomo del trattamento per i dati che gestisce nella propria dashboard.
2.6 Notifiche push, diagnostica e analytics
Possiamo inviare notifiche push (token dispositivo) per promemoria allenamento e aggiornamenti dell'app, revocabili dalle impostazioni di sistema. Utilizziamo Sentry per rilevare crash tecnici (senza inviare email o contenuti di allenamento). Sulla versione web dell'app, Firebase Analytics (Google) si attiva solo con il tuo consenso, che ti chiediamo nel banner dei cookie con due scelte di pari peso, «Accetta» e «Rifiuta». Se accetti, raccoglie le pagine viste ed eventi di utilizzo (per esempio accesso, uscita, esito di un'importazione IA) non collegati al tuo identificativo utente e senza i nomi dei tuoi programmi, con i cookie descritti nella Cookie Policy; Google li tratta come nostro responsabile del trattamento. Se rifiuti, chiudi il banner o non scegli, resta spento. Puoi revocare il consenso in qualsiasi momento da «Preferenze cookie», in fondo alle pagine del sito: la raccolta si ferma subito e resta ferma anche alle visite successive. Sulle app per iPhone e Android non usiamo Firebase Analytics.
2.7 Segnalazioni in app
Solo per gli account che abilitiamo noi e per gli amministratori: quando invii la segnalazione di un problema o un'idea, raccogliamo il testo che scrivi, il tipo (problema o idea), la versione e la build dell'app, la piattaforma, il sistema operativo, il modello del dispositivo, la lingua, le ultime 10 schermate visitate (senza parametri), fino a 200 righe recenti di avvisi ed errori tecnici dell'app (ripulite da email e token) e l'identificativo dell'ultimo errore registrato da Sentry. Puoi allegare una schermata scelta da te: può mostrare dati di Salute o altri dati personali, quindi allegala solo se serve e dopo averla controllata. A parte la schermata che scegli tu, la segnalazione non contiene valori sanitari, allenamenti, posizione, email o token. Niente viene inviato finché non premi invia. Le segnalazioni sono conservate su Firebase e le leggiamo noi, nel pannello di amministrazione: nessuno strumento di intelligenza artificiale riceve il testo che scrivi, la schermata o i dati del tuo account. Sono cancellate dopo 90 giorni o insieme al tuo account.
2.8 Sito web e link brevi
Quando visiti gymtracker.studio, l'infrastruttura che ospita il sito (Google Firebase Hosting e Cloud Functions) riceve i dati tecnici necessari a consegnare la pagina: indirizzo IP, tipo di browser e sistema (user agent), pagina richiesta, pagina di provenienza, data e ora. Google li può registrare nei log tecnici del servizio, che conserviamo per un massimo di 30 giorni e che consultiamo solo per sicurezza e per risolvere guasti.
Nei nostri post sui social usiamo link brevi del tipo gymtracker.studio/l/codice. Quando ne apri uno, contiamo un clic per quel link e per quel giorno, e ti portiamo alla pagina del sito o dell'app a cui il link rimanda. Non salviamo il tuo indirizzo IP, il tuo browser, la pagina di provenienza o l'ora esatta, e non impostiamo cookie. Leggiamo il tipo di browser solo nel momento del clic, per non contare le anteprime generate automaticamente dalle piattaforme social, e non lo conserviamo. L'indirizzo della pagina di destinazione contiene i parametri della campagna (per esempio utm_source=instagram), che indicano da quale post arrivi e non contengono alcun dato su di te; le pagine del sito non usano strumenti di analisi che li leggano. Fa eccezione la versione web dell'app (gymtracker.studio/app), descritta nella sezione 2.6.
2.9 I profili social di GymTracker
GymTracker ha profili su Instagram, Facebook, Threads, X, LinkedIn e TikTok. Li usiamo per pubblicare i nostri contenuti. Dalle piattaforme leggiamo solo statistiche aggregate: numero di follower, persone raggiunte, visualizzazioni, visite al profilo, e per ogni post il numero di mi piace, commenti, salvataggi e condivisioni. Sono numeri: non riceviamo, attraverso queste statistiche, nomi o messaggi di chi segue i profili. Fa eccezione la lettura dei commenti scritti sotto i nostri post su Instagram, descritta nella sezione 2.10.
Se visiti i nostri profili o interagisci con i nostri post, la piattaforma tratta i tuoi dati secondo la propria informativa: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited per Instagram, Facebook e Threads; X Corp. per X; LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company per LinkedIn; TikTok Technology Limited per TikTok. Per le statistiche della Pagina Facebook e dell'account Instagram, Meta e GymTracker possono essere contitolari del trattamento: il contenuto essenziale dell'accordo di contitolarità messo a disposizione da Meta si legge su facebook.com/legal/terms/page_controller_addendum. I diritti su quei dati si esercitano in primo luogo presso Meta, e puoi comunque scriverci a info@gymtracker.studio. Per i commenti che leggiamo con gli strumenti della piattaforma (sezione 2.10), GymTracker e Meta sono invece titolari autonomi: Meta per la piattaforma, noi per la copia che conserviamo per risponderti.
2.10 Commenti ai nostri post su Instagram
Se commenti un post pubblicato dal profilo Instagram di GymTracker, leggiamo il commento con gli strumenti che Instagram mette a disposizione di chi gestisce il profilo, per poterti rispondere. Leggiamo solo i commenti scritti direttamente sotto i nostri post, nei 7 giorni dopo la pubblicazione. Conserviamo il testo del commento, la data, il post a cui si riferisce e l'identificativo tecnico del commento su Instagram, insieme alla nostra eventuale risposta. Non conserviamo il tuo nome utente, il tuo nome, la tua foto o altri dati del tuo profilo.
Per scrivere la risposta possiamo farci aiutare da Google Gemini, che riceve solo il testo del commento e del nostro post, non il tuo nome utente né altri dati del tuo profilo. Google tratta questi testi per nostro conto e non li usa per addestrare i propri modelli. Ogni risposta la legge e la approva una persona del team prima che venga pubblicata: nessuna risposta parte da sola.
Non usiamo i commenti per profilarti, per mandarti pubblicità o per altri scopi. Se nel commento scrivi qualcosa sulla tua salute, lo trattiamo solo perché lo hai reso pubblico tu (art. 9, par. 2, lett. e GDPR) e solo per risponderti: non lo usiamo per altro e non lo ripetiamo nella risposta. Ricorda che un commento è pubblico e lo possono leggere tutti.
Cancelliamo il testo del commento appena lo abbiamo gestito (con una risposta o decidendo di non rispondere) e comunque entro 30 giorni. La data, il post, l'identificativo del commento e la nostra risposta li conserviamo fino a 90 giorni, per poter dimostrare che cosa abbiamo pubblicato e chi del team lo ha approvato. Se cancelli il commento su Instagram, lo cancelliamo anche noi.
Puoi chiederci di sapere che cosa conserviamo, di cancellarlo prima o di opporti scrivendo a info@gymtracker.studio. Non conservando il tuo nome utente, ci serve il modo di ritrovare il commento: indicaci il post e il testo; dopo 30 giorni il testo non c'è più, quindi indicaci il post e la data, o la nostra risposta.
Finalità e Base Giuridica del Trattamento
I tuoi dati personali vengono trattati per le seguenti finalità:
- Fornitura del servizio: gestione dell'account, sincronizzazione dei dati di allenamento su cloud, backup e ripristino - Base giuridica: esecuzione del contratto, art. 6, par. 1, lett. b GDPR
- Autenticazione: verifica dell'identità tramite Firebase Authentication, Google Sign-In e Apple Sign In - Base giuridica: esecuzione del contratto
- Abbonamenti e acquisti: gestione, verifica e rinnovo degli abbonamenti GymTracker Pro tramite RevenueCat e gli store Apple/Google - Base giuridica: esecuzione del contratto
- Dati sanitari (Apple Salute e Health Connect): lettura e scrittura dei dati sanitari descritti sopra e conservazione nel tuo account dei valori derivati - Base giuridica: il tuo consenso esplicito, art. 9, par. 2, lett. a GDPR, revocabile in qualsiasi momento
- Miglioramento dell'App: analisi dell'utilizzo per migliorare le funzionalità - Base giuridica: legittimo interesse, art. 6, par. 1, lett. f GDPR; per Firebase Analytics sulla versione web, solo il tuo consenso, art. 6, par. 1, lett. a GDPR, chiesto nel banner dei cookie e revocabile da «Preferenze cookie» (sezione 2.6)
- Segnalazioni in app: analisi delle segnalazioni che invii volontariamente per correggere problemi e valutare idee - Base giuridica: legittimo interesse, art. 6, par. 1, lett. f GDPR; per i dati di Salute eventualmente visibili in una schermata che alleghi, il tuo consenso esplicito, art. 9, par. 2, lett. a GDPR

- Adempimento di obblighi legali: conservazione dei dati contabili relativi agli acquisti per il periodo previsto dalla legge - Base giuridica: obbligo legale, art. 6, par. 1, lett. c GDPR
Condivisione dei Dati con Terze Parti
GymTracker non vende, non affitta e non cede i tuoi dati personali a terze parti per finalità di marketing. I tuoi dati sono condivisi esclusivamente con i seguenti fornitori di servizi tecnici, strettamente necessari al funzionamento dell'App:
Google Firebase (Alphabet Inc.)
Utilizziamo Firebase per l'autenticazione degli utenti (Firebase Auth), l'archiviazione dei dati di allenamento e delle segnalazioni in app su cloud (Firestore), il backup delle immagini del profilo e delle schermate allegate alle segnalazioni (Cloud Storage) e l'elaborazione intelligente dei programmi di allenamento (Cloud Functions + Gemini AI). Il database (Cloud Firestore) e le Cloud Functions si trovano nell'Unione Europea (region europe-west1, Belgio); i file su Cloud Storage (immagini del profilo e schermate allegate alle segnalazioni) sono nella multi-regione degli Stati Uniti.

Google Gemini (Google LLC)
Usiamo l'API di Google Gemini, come servizio a pagamento, per l'importazione dei programmi (sezione 2.4), per proporre varianti dei testi dei nostri post e per proporre le risposte ai commenti (sezione 2.10). Google agisce come nostro responsabile del trattamento secondo i termini dei servizi a pagamento dell'API Gemini e non usa questi contenuti per migliorare i propri prodotti.

RevenueCat Inc.
RevenueCat gestisce la verifica degli abbonamenti in-app tramite un identificativo anonimo dell'utente. Non ha accesso ai dati di allenamento o sanitari.

Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited)
Per gli utenti che utilizzano la versione gratuita (Free) dell'App, GymTracker mostra banner pubblicitari tramite il servizio Google AdMob. Questo servizio tratta dati personali quali identificatori del dispositivo per scopi pubblicitari (es. IDFA su iOS, ID pubblicitario Android), cookie e dati di utilizzo per personalizzare e ottimizzare gli annunci. La personalizzazione degli annunci e il tracciamento avvengono esclusivamente previo esplicito consenso dell'utente tramite la modale GDPR (User Messaging Platform) e il prompt App Tracking Transparency (ATT) su dispositivi iOS. In caso di mancato consenso, verranno mostrati esclusivamente annunci non personalizzati. Gli utenti Premium (Pro) sono completamente esclusi dalla visualizzazione degli annunci e da questo tipo di trattamento.

Sentry (Functional Software Inc.)
Utilizziamo Sentry per monitorare errori tecnici e migliorare la stabilità dell'App. Vengono trasmessi stack trace anonimi e metadati di sessione; non inviamo contenuti di allenamento, email o dati sanitari a Sentry.

Anthropic PBC
Quando analizziamo o correggiamo un difetto segnalato in app, o che arriva dai nostri strumenti tecnici (Sentry, TestFlight), usiamo Claude Code, lo strumento di intelligenza artificiale di Anthropic, sul computer del titolare. Claude riceve solo una scheda tecnica del difetto: versione e build dell'app, piattaforma, sistema operativo, modello del dispositivo, ultima schermata visitata, date, numero di utenti ed eventi coinvolti, titolo dell'errore e righe di codice in cui è avvenuto, un numero interno della segnalazione. Non riceve mai il testo che hai scritto, la schermata allegata, il tuo identificativo utente, la tua email o le righe di registro. Il titolo di un errore è generato automaticamente dall'app e prima dell'invio togliamo email e codici di accesso. L'analisi parte quando la chiede il titolare o con una routine notturna, spenta per impostazione predefinita. Anthropic ha sede negli Stati Uniti: non abbiamo con Anthropic un accordo specifico di protezione dei dati per questo uso.

Operazioni societarie
In caso di fusione, acquisizione, cessione di attività o ristrutturazione societaria, i tuoi dati personali potrebbero essere trasferiti al soggetto acquirente o subentrante. In tal caso, ti informeremo tempestivamente e il soggetto ricevente sarà tenuto a trattare i tuoi dati nel rispetto della presente Informativa e della normativa vigente sulla privacy.
Conservazione dei Dati
I tuoi dati personali vengono conservati per il tempo strettamente necessario alle finalità per cui sono stati raccolti:
- Dati di allenamento e account: conservati fino alla cancellazione manuale da parte dell'utente. Dopo 24 mesi di inattività potremmo contattarti prima di archiviare l'account.
- Log tecnici anonimi: massimo 90 giorni
- Segnalazioni in app e schermate allegate: 90 giorni dall'invio
- Log tecnici del sito: massimo 30 giorni. I contatori dei link brevi sono numeri per giorno, senza alcun dato sulle persone che hanno cliccato
- Commenti ai nostri post su Instagram: testo cancellato appena gestito ed entro 30 giorni; data, post, identificativo del commento e nostra risposta dopo 90 giorni, o prima se cancelli il commento su Instagram o ce lo chiedi
- Copie di sicurezza del database: il ripristino a un istante precedente copre gli ultimi 7 giorni e i backup settimanali si cancellano dopo 30 giorni. Un dato cancellato può restare in queste copie, che non consultiamo, fino a 30 giorni
- Dati contabili relativi agli acquisti: 10 anni ai sensi della normativa fiscale italiana
Al momento della cancellazione dell'account, tutti i tuoi dati personali vengono eliminati definitivamente dai nostri server (Firestore, Cloud Storage, collegamenti coach, job di importazione e segnalazioni in app) entro 30 giorni.
I Tuoi Diritti (GDPR)
In qualità di utente residente nello Spazio Economico Europeo, hai il diritto di:
- Accesso: ottenere copia dei tuoi dati personali in nostro possesso
- Rettifica: correggere dati inesatti o incompleti
- Cancellazione ("diritto all'oblio"): richiedere l'eliminazione di tutti i tuoi dati personali
- Limitazione del trattamento: richiedere la sospensione temporanea del trattamento
- Portabilità: ricevere i tuoi dati in formato strutturato e leggibile da macchina (funzione Backup/Export nell'app)
- Opposizione: opporti al trattamento basato su legittimo interesse
- Revoca del consenso: revocare in qualsiasi momento il consenso prestato, senza pregiudicare la liceità del trattamento precedente
- Reclamo all'Autorità di controllo: presentare reclamo al Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it) o all'autorità di protezione dei dati competente nel tuo paese di residenza
Puoi utilizzare la funzione "Elimina Account" disponibile nelle Impostazioni dell'App, oppure contattarci via email a info@gymtracker.studio. Risponderemo entro 30 giorni dalla ricezione della tua richiesta.
Sicurezza dei Dati
GymTracker adotta misure tecniche e organizzative adeguate per proteggere i tuoi dati personali da accessi non autorizzati, perdita, alterazione o divulgazione:
- Trasmissione dei dati cifrata con protocollo TLS 1.3
- Autenticazione con token sicuri (Firebase ID Token, JWT)
- Regole di sicurezza Firestore che garantiscono l'isolamento totale tra gli account degli utenti
- Archiviazione locale protetta tramite le API sicure di iOS (Keychain, AsyncStorage cifrato)
- Accesso ai sistemi backend limitato al personale autorizzato
Trasferimenti Internazionali di Dati
Il database di Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), che contiene i dati dell'account e degli allenamenti, compresi i valori sanitari derivati descritti sopra, le segnalazioni in app e i commenti ai nostri post, si trova nell'Unione Europea (europe-west1, Belgio), come le Cloud Functions. Alcuni servizi di Google trattano dati anche negli Stati Uniti: i file su Cloud Storage (immagini del profilo e schermate allegate alle segnalazioni), l'autenticazione (Firebase Authentication) e Google Gemini, che elabora i testi che gli inviamo (importazione IA, testi dei nostri post, commenti). Per questi trattamenti Google LLC è nostro responsabile; i trasferimenti verso gli Stati Uniti si basano sull'adesione di Google LLC al Data Privacy Framework UE-USA (decisione di adeguatezza della Commissione Europea) e, in subordine, sulle Clausole Contrattuali Standard (SCC) incluse nei termini di trattamento dei dati di Google.
Per gli altri fornitori con sede fuori dall'Unione Europea indicati nella sezione 4, i trasferimenti avvengono con le garanzie previste dal GDPR (Data Privacy Framework, dove il fornitore vi aderisce, o Clausole Contrattuali Standard), salvo quanto detto per Anthropic nella stessa sezione. Meta Platforms Ireland è titolare autonomo per le proprie piattaforme (sezioni 2.9 e 2.10) e risponde dei propri trasferimenti.
Minori
GymTracker non è destinata a minori di 16 anni. Non raccogliamo consapevolmente dati personali di utenti di età inferiore ai 16 anni. Se ritieni che un minore abbia utilizzato l'App e fornito dati personali, contattaci immediatamente a info@gymtracker.studio per provvedere alla cancellazione immediata.
Modifiche a questa Informativa
Potremmo aggiornare periodicamente la presente Informativa sulla Privacy per riflettere modifiche legislative, tecnologiche o nei servizi offerti. In caso di modifiche sostanziali, ti notificheremo tramite una notifica in-app o via email. La data dell'ultimo aggiornamento è sempre indicata in fondo a questo documento. Ti invitiamo a consultare periodicamente questa pagina.

Data We Collect
GymTracker collects only data required to provide the service and deliver features requested by you.
2.1 Data you provide directly
- Name and email address (provided during registration or sign-in via Google/Apple)
- Onboarding profile data: age, gender, body weight, height, fitness goals
- Workout data: training programs, sessions, sets, reps, loads, rest periods
- Body weight measurements recorded over time
- Profile photo (optional)
2.2 Automatically collected data
- Unique device identifier (for session management and in-app purchase verification)
- OS and device version (for compatibility optimization)
- Anonymous technical error logs (to improve stability)
- Usage statistics of the web app (pages and features used), only with your consent and not linked to your account (section 2.6); the iPhone and Android apps do not collect them
2.3 Health data (Apple Health and Health Connect)
With your consent, given on the system screen, GymTracker reads from Apple Health (iPhone) or Health Connect (Android): heart rate, resting heart rate and variability, VO2 max, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, respiratory rate, steps, distance, active calories, basal metabolic rate, dietary energy, weight, height, body fat and lean mass; on iPhone also date of birth, biological sex, body mass index, waist circumference and walking heart rate average. It writes your completed workouts with their active calories, and the weight and height you enter.
Values read stay on your device, with two exceptions: the average and maximum heart rate and the estimated calories of each workout are saved in your account history (if you have GymTracker PRO or a linked coach), and weight and height (on iPhone also your age, calculated from your date of birth, and your sex) are saved in your profile if you accept the prefill. Your coach does not receive the heart rate, intensity zones or calories of your workouts. They do see your profile data (age, sex, weight and height, even when prefilled from Apple Health or Health Connect) as long as you leave them the «Personal info» permission, which you can remove in your coach settings; they also see your age when you ask them to connect, before they accept. We do not use Health data for advertising and do not sell it. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings or in Health Connect.
2.4 AI program import (Google Gemini)
When you use AI import, files or text you upload (PDF, images, Excel, plain text) are sent to our Firebase servers and analyzed with Google Gemini solely to extract your training program structure. We use the Google Gemini API as a paid service: Google processes this content on our behalf, as a data processor, and does not use it to improve its products or to train its models. Temporary files are deleted after processing. Usage is subject to monthly limits based on your plan (Free/Pro).
2.5 Coach mode and sharing with your coach
If you link a coach, you share only the data you authorize (programs, workouts, weight, messages). You can revoke the link anytime in Coach settings. Coaches act as independent controllers for data they manage in their dashboard.
2.6 Push notifications, diagnostics and analytics
We may send push notifications (device token) for workout reminders and app updates; you can disable them in system settings. We use Sentry for technical crash reporting (no workout content, email or health data). On the web version of the app, Firebase Analytics (Google) is switched on only with your consent, which we ask for in the cookie banner with two choices of equal weight, «Accept» and «Refuse». If you accept, it collects pages viewed and usage events (for example sign-in, sign-out, the outcome of an AI import) not linked to your user identifier and without the names of your programs, with the cookies described in the Cookie Policy; Google processes them as our processor. If you refuse, close the banner or make no choice, it stays off. You can withdraw your consent at any time from «Cookie preferences», at the bottom of the site's pages: the collection stops at once and stays stopped on later visits too. The iPhone and Android apps do not use Firebase Analytics.
2.7 In-app reports
Only for accounts we enable and for administrators: when you send a problem report or an idea, we collect the text you write, the type (problem or idea), the app version and build, platform, operating system, device model, language, the last 10 screens you visited (without parameters), up to 200 recent lines of the app's technical warnings and errors (with emails and tokens removed) and the identifier of the last error recorded by Sentry. You can attach a screenshot you choose: it may show Health data or other personal data, so attach it only when needed and after checking it. Apart from the screenshot you choose, a report contains no health values, workouts, location, email or tokens. Nothing is sent until you tap send. Reports are stored on Firebase and read by us in the admin panel: no AI tool receives the text you write, the screenshot or your account details. They are deleted after 90 days or together with your account.
2.8 Website and short links
When you visit gymtracker.studio, the infrastructure hosting the site (Google Firebase Hosting and Cloud Functions) receives the technical data needed to deliver the page: IP address, browser and system type (user agent), requested page, referring page, date and time. Google may record them in the service's technical logs, which we keep for up to 30 days and consult only for security and to fix faults.
In our social media posts we use short links such as gymtracker.studio/l/code. When you open one, we count one click for that link on that day and take you to the page of the site or the app the link points to. We do not store your IP address, your browser, the referring page or the exact time, and we set no cookies. We read the browser type only at the moment of the click, so that the previews that social platforms generate automatically are not counted, and we do not keep it. The destination address carries campaign parameters (for example utm_source=instagram), which say which post you came from and contain no data about you; the site's pages use no analytics tools that read them. The exception is the web version of the app (gymtracker.studio/app), described in section 2.6.
2.9 GymTracker's social media profiles
GymTracker has profiles on Instagram, Facebook, Threads, X, LinkedIn and TikTok. We use them to publish our content. From the platforms we read aggregate statistics only: number of followers, people reached, views, profile visits, and for each post the number of likes, comments, saves and shares. They are numbers: through these statistics we receive no names or messages from the people who follow the profiles. The exception is the reading of comments written under our Instagram posts, described in section 2.10.
If you visit our profiles or interact with our posts, the platform processes your data under its own privacy policy: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited for Instagram, Facebook and Threads; X Corp. for X; LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company for LinkedIn; TikTok Technology Limited for TikTok. For the statistics of the Facebook Page and of the Instagram account, Meta and GymTracker may be joint controllers: the essential content of the joint controller agreement provided by Meta is available at facebook.com/legal/terms/page_controller_addendum. Rights over that data are best exercised with Meta first, and you can always write to us at info@gymtracker.studio. For the comments we read through the platform's tools (section 2.10), GymTracker and Meta are instead independent controllers: Meta for the platform, us for the copy we keep in order to reply to you.
2.10 Comments on our Instagram posts
If you comment on a post published by GymTracker's Instagram profile, we read the comment through the tools Instagram offers to whoever manages the profile, so that we can reply to you. We only read the comments written directly under our posts, in the 7 days after publication. We keep the text of the comment, the date, the post it refers to and the comment's technical identifier on Instagram, together with our reply, if any. We do not keep your username, your name, your photo or any other data from your profile.
To write the reply we may be helped by Google Gemini, which receives only the text of the comment and of our post, not your username or any other data from your profile. Google processes these texts on our behalf and does not use them to train its models. Every reply is read and approved by a member of our team before it is published: no reply goes out by itself.
We do not use comments to profile you, to send you advertising or for any other purpose. If you write something about your health in a comment, we process it only because you made it public yourself (Art. 9(2)(e) GDPR) and only to reply to you: we do not use it for anything else and we do not repeat it in the reply. Remember that a comment is public and anyone can read it.
We delete the text of the comment as soon as we have handled it (by replying or by deciding not to reply), and in any case within 30 days. We keep the date, the post, the comment identifier and our reply for up to 90 days, so that we can show what we published and which member of the team approved it. If you delete the comment on Instagram, we delete it too.
You can ask us what we keep, ask us to delete it earlier or object by writing to info@gymtracker.studio. Since we do not keep your username, we need a way to find the comment: tell us the post and the text; after 30 days the text is gone, so tell us the post and the date, or our reply.
Purpose and Legal Basis
Your personal data is processed for the following purposes:

Third-Party Processors
GymTracker does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data for marketing purposes. Data is shared only with the following technical service providers strictly necessary for app operation:
Google Firebase (Alphabet Inc.)
We use Firebase for user authentication (Firebase Auth), cloud storage of workout data and in-app reports (Firestore), backup of profile images and of screenshots attached to reports (Cloud Storage), and intelligent training program processing (Cloud Functions + Gemini AI). The database (Cloud Firestore) and Cloud Functions are in the European Union (region europe-west1, Belgium); files on Cloud Storage (profile images and screenshots attached to reports) are in the United States multi-region.

We use the Google Gemini API, as a paid service, for AI program import (section 2.4), to propose variants of the texts of our posts and to propose replies to comments (section 2.10). Google acts as our data processor under the terms of the Gemini API paid services and does not use this content to improve its products.

RevenueCat Inc.
RevenueCat handles in-app subscription verification via an anonymous user identifier. It has no access to workout or health data.

Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited)
For users on the free version of the App, GymTracker displays banner advertisements via the Google AdMob service. This service processes personal data such as device advertising identifiers (e.g., IDFA on iOS, Android Advertising ID), cookies, and usage data to personalize and optimize advertisements. Ad personalization and tracking only occur with the user's explicit consent collected via the GDPR User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form and the Apple App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt on iOS devices. If consent is denied, only non-personalized ads are displayed. Premium (Pro) users are completely excluded from ad displays and from this data processing.

Sentry (Functional Software Inc.)
We use Sentry to monitor technical errors and improve app stability. Anonymous stack traces and session metadata are sent; we do not send workout content, email or health data to Sentry.

Anthropic PBC
When we analyse or fix a defect reported in the app, or arriving from our technical tools (Sentry, TestFlight), we use Claude Code, Anthropic's AI tool, on the data controller's computer. Claude receives only a technical card for the defect: app version and build, platform, operating system, device model, last screen visited, dates, number of users and events involved, error title and the lines of code where it happened, an internal report number. It never receives the text you wrote, the attached screenshot, your user identifier, your email or log lines. An error title is generated automatically by the app and we remove emails and access codes before sending. The analysis starts when the data controller requests it or through a nightly routine, off by default. Anthropic is based in the United States: we have no specific data protection agreement with Anthropic for this use.

Corporate Transactions
In the event of a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or corporate restructuring, your personal data may be transferred to the acquiring or successor entity. In such cases, we will notify you promptly and the recipient will be required to treat your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable privacy law.
Data Retention
Personal data is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected:
- Workout and account data: retained until manual account deletion. After 24 months of inactivity we may contact you before archiving the account.
- Anonymous technical logs: maximum 90 days
- In-app reports and attached screenshots: 90 days from sending
- Technical logs of the website: up to 30 days. Short-link counters are numbers per day, with no data about the people who clicked
- Comments on our Instagram posts: text deleted as soon as it has been handled and within 30 days; date, post, comment identifier and our reply after 90 days, or earlier if you delete the comment on Instagram or ask us to
- Database backups: point-in-time recovery covers the last 7 days and weekly backups are deleted after 30 days. Deleted data may remain in these copies, which we do not consult, for up to 30 days
- Purchase/accounting records: 10 years in accordance with Italian tax law requirements
Upon account deletion, all personal data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days, including Firestore, Cloud Storage, coach links, import jobs and in-app reports.
Your GDPR Rights
As a user in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
- Access: obtain a copy of personal data we hold about you
- Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erasure ("right to be forgotten"): request deletion of all your personal data
- Restriction: request temporary suspension of processing
- Portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format (Backup/Export feature in the app)
- Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interest
- Withdraw consent: revoke consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing
- Lodge a complaint: file a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (garanteprivacy.it) or the supervisory authority in your country of residence
Use the "Delete Account" feature in the App Settings, or contact us at info@gymtracker.studio. We will respond within 30 days of receiving your request.
Security
GymTracker implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure:
- Encrypted data transmission using TLS 1.3
- Secure token-based authentication (Firebase ID Token, JWT)
- Firestore security rules ensuring complete isolation between user accounts
- Local storage protected via iOS secure APIs (Keychain, encrypted AsyncStorage)
- Backend system access restricted to authorized personnel
International Transfers
Google Firebase's database (Cloud Firestore), which holds account and workout data, including the derived health values described above, in-app reports and the comments on our posts, is in the European Union (europe-west1, Belgium), like Cloud Functions. Some Google services also process data in the United States: files on Cloud Storage (profile images and screenshots attached to reports), authentication (Firebase Authentication) and Google Gemini, which processes the texts we send it (AI import, texts of our posts, comments). For this processing Google LLC is our processor; transfers to the United States rely on Google LLC's participation in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of the European Commission) and, as a fallback, on the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) included in Google's data processing terms.
For the other providers based outside the European Union listed in section 4, transfers take place with the safeguards provided by the GDPR (the Data Privacy Framework, where the provider participates, or Standard Contractual Clauses), except as stated for Anthropic in the same section. Meta Platforms Ireland is an independent controller for its own platforms (sections 2.9 and 2.10) and is responsible for its own transfers.
Minors
GymTracker is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from users under 16. If you believe a minor has used the App and provided personal data, contact us immediately at info@gymtracker.studio to arrange immediate deletion.
Policy Changes
We may periodically update this Privacy Policy to reflect legislative, technological, or service changes. For material changes, we will notify you via an in-app notification or email. The date of the last update is always shown at the bottom of this document. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
